North Korea (DPRK) has a topic page in the Student Resources in Context database (password = braves) that can be accessed here.  This is a good starting place for your research.
Some reminders:
  • Sign in to your Google account at the top of the database. You can save articles and images by clicking "Download to Google Drive" in the toolbar menu on the right.
  • You can highlight and take notes as you read the article -- just click and drag with your mouse.
  • All pieces of information contained within the database contain an MLA 8 formatted citation at the end of the info -- make sure you use it to properly credit your source!
  • Narrow your searches by using the "search within results" bar on the right-hand side of the page. Use keywords from your research questions as the words to narrow your searches.
North Korea is also found throughout our reference ebook collection (GVRL database). That information can be accessed by clicking here.
  • Although information from GVRL comes from ebooks instead of articles, you can narrow searches using "search within results" using keywords, highlight/take notes/download to Google Drive, and obtain MLA 8 citations, just as you did in the other database.
  • Tip: Narrow your search as much as possible using keywords from your questions. Highlight important info. Check your sources (even within the databases) to find the most current and accurate information.

Here is a tip sheet with more information about navigating the databases.
If you need additional assistance navigating the databases, here is a tutorial video:
I would NOT recommend using websites that you find on your own. But here is one website I would recommend: CIA World Factbook - North Korea. To cite this website, you will need to enter the URL into a citation generator like EasyBib.
